Billing Policy
Effective date: 2 July 2026
This page explains how billing works for Nodly. We keep it simple on purpose: one plan, a free trial, and self-serve cancellation at any time.
1. Plan and price
Nodly Pro costs $5 per active member per month billed monthly, or $4 per active member per month billed annually (USD). Active members are the people in the Slack channel Nodly manages. Seat counts are reconciled automatically every day.
On the monthly plan, seat changes take effect at your next renewal — you are never charged mid-cycle for people who join.
On the annual plan you have prepaid for the year, so seats added part-way through are charged straight away for the remainder of the term only. Seats removed part-way through are not refunded, but the unused remainder is credited against your future charges.
2. Free trial
Every workspace gets a free 30-day trial with full access to every feature, starting when Nodly is installed into Slack. No credit card is required during the trial. We email workspace admins before the trial ends. When a trial ends without a subscription, Nodly pauses new activities (meetups that are already scheduled still complete) and the admin dashboard remains available read-only.
3. Payments
Subscriptions are billed in advance — monthly or annually, depending on the plan you choose — and processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Invoices and receipts are available from the self-serve billing portal in your admin panel. Prices exclude VAT or other applicable taxes, which are calculated at checkout based on your billing address.
4. Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, we notify workspace admins and Stripe retries the payment automatically over the following days. Nodly keeps working during this period. If payment cannot be collected after the retries, the subscription ends and Nodly pauses new activities as described above.
5. Cancellation
You can cancel any time from the billing portal in your admin panel — no emails, no phone calls. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep full access until then. Uninstalling Nodly from your Slack workspace also stops your subscription from renewing automatically.
6. Refunds
Monthly charges are generally non-refundable, but if something went wrong — a billing mistake, a double charge, or Nodly not working as promised — contact us and we will make it right.
7. Price changes
If we change pricing, existing subscribers get at least 30 days' notice by email before the new price applies to their subscription.
8. Questions
